To date, approximately half of our team members have contributed to the cost of the pre-game meals provided before basketball games.
For those who have not yet had the opportunity to contribute, we kindly ask you to consider doing so at your earliest convenience. If the contribution amount presents any financial challenges, please let me know.
Players, please discuss this matter with your parents to confirm whether a contribution has been made, as I will be inquiring about it on Mon, 12/9.
The total cost is $330 per player, which can be divided into three payments if that is more manageable. Checks should be made payable to "Seaforth HS Men’s Basketball."
Felicia Lewis (Noah Lewis’ mother) will oversee payment tracking. To ensure transparency, Lourdes Yanes-Reeffer (Darren Moore’s mother) and Sherry Lindquist (Declan Lindquist’s mother) will supervise the checks and balances.

Seaforth’s Basketball Blueprint:
In my coaching experience, I've seen basketball teams succeed in different ways:
- Luck: Sometimes, teams face weaker opponents, win games with last-second shots, or benefit from opponents making mistakes. However, relying on luck isn't dependable for long-term success.
- Star Player: Having an exceptional player can lead to many wins. But depending too much on one person isn't a solid plan for ongoing success.
- Team Unity ("Clenched Fist" Approach): This means playing together as a tight-knit group, like a clenched fist. It's repeatable, shares responsibility among all players, and reflects true teamwork both on and off the court. For this to work, every team member needs to perform their role at their best.
For Seaforth's basketball team to succeed, embracing the "clenched fist" approach is our key strategy.
